The Transport Minister. Hon Kwaku Ofori, Asiamah stated that strengthening the Aircraft Accident Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB)  is important to the Aviation sector.

The Minister made this known when the Commissioner of Banjul Accord Group Accident Investigation Agency (BAGAIA) Mr Charles Irikefe Erhueh paid a courtesy call at his office.

Mr Asiamah noted AIB was decoupled last year from the Ministry of Aviation and it is important that the technical support needed for the institution to strive is done earnestly.

According to Mr Charles Irikefe Erhueh BAGAIA have strengthened cooperation and collaboration among member States and assisted Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Cape Verde in technical capacity building in line with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) recommendations.
When we work together we can do more, he stated.
