On the Friday 5th of November 2023, the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau paid a familiarization to Africa World Airlines. The AIB members were welcomed and seated in their conference room, where the meeting took place.
The Commissioner of the AIB made it clear to the members of AWA the need to notify the AIB of any occurrences, which in turn would go a long way to improve safety operations as well as help in investigations. Members of the AIB team also emphasized the for airlines to cooperate with the AIB to ensure a successful working relatioinship.
The Commissioner of the AIB expressed Gratitude to the members of Africa World Airlines for granting the invitation and being hospitable and was also thankful for their willingness to cooperate with the AIB in carrying out its mandate.
